It cost Sarita five minutes to accept this cruel reality that her soul was reborn in the body of this woman. This strange woman shared the same name as Sarita. That Mr. Charming was Ernest Charles, the husband of this woman. Through the memory of this body, Sarita understood that her relationship with her 'husband' was not good, but in order to live well in this world, she must find a way to get along with her 'husband' in peace. But Sarita had never been in a relationship! Let alone coping with married life! She could only learn how to deal with it by stumbling. Gradually, she found that everyone looked at her differently. Even her husband, Ernest, didn't seem to dislike her as much as he remembered. Even, he gradually fell in love with her. . .
The strong smell of disinfectant made Sarita Bowles frown. She opened her eyes and saw an infusion bottle on an iron shelf.
"Am I in the hospital?!" Sarita wondered.
"Hiss!" There was a sharp pain in her forehead, so Sarita wanted to raise her hand to touch it.
"Don't move! You are on a drip!" A melodic but cold male voice sounded. Then, Sarita felt a warm palm on the back of her hand.
Sarita looked in the direction of the voice and saw a tall man standing by the bed.
The man had a buzz cut and tanned skin. His eyebrows were thick, and his eyes were in the shape of almonds. He had a prominent nose, looking handsome and masculine.
His temperament was more excellent than his appearance.
The man was tall. He looked cold, noble, and tenacious in a uniform.
"He would bewitch the girls all over the country if he devoted himself to the entertainment industry instead of the army!
However, who is he?" Sarita wondered.
"The doctor said that he would do a checkup on you after you were awake. I will go bring him over."
"Oh, okay."
The man was serious. He looked abstinent because of his domineering aura, which belonged to a soldier.
"Anyway, he is handsome!" Sarita thought.
Sarita couldn't help but have a crush on this strange man.
Soon, she came to her senses. Before the strange man left, Sarita said quickly, "Thank you."
"No matter who he is, I should thank him for sending me to the hospital and taking care of me." Sarita thought.
The strange man paused and looked at Sarita as if he did an alien.
Sarita blinked her eyes with confusion and thought, "I just express my gratitude, but why does he look shocked?"
The man stared at Sarita sharply as if he wanted to see her through.
Sarita's hair stood on end because of this creepy stare. Sarita couldn't help but raise her hand to touch her own face. With an awkward smile, Sarita asked, "What's wrong? Is there anything on my face?"
"No. Nothing," The man replied with a cold voice.
He left, so Sarita was in a daze in the room.
"Why do I have a bad feeling?" Sarita thought.
Sarita shook her aching head and sat up. She was taken aback after one glance at her surrounding environment.
It was a rough room with wooden doors and windows. The gray walls turned a bit yellow.
There was an eye-catching slogan on the wall.
On the cabinet, there was a thermos and a lunch box.
"Doesn't the scene look like that in the dramas about 80s?!" Sarita wondered.
Sarita remembered that an earthquake happened when she was traveling at a scenic resort.
The travelers ran around in panic, and someone pushed Sarita down. When Sarita climbed up from the ground, a rock rolled down the mountain quickly and dashed to her.
Sarita turned pale in the face as a premonition flashed across her mind.
Sarita lifted the quilt and instantly saw a huge tummy.
Sarita raised one hand tremblingly and found it black and plump with rough fingers. What disgusted Sarita was the black and yellow mud in those fingers.
"No way! Impossible!" Sarita thought.
Sarita took a deep breath and pinched the fat in her tummy with her fingers!
"Ouch! It hurts!" Sarita thought.
It cost Sarita five minutes to accept this cruel reality that her soul was reborn in the body of this fat woman.
Sarita felt a sharp pain in her head, and then some fragments of the past flashed through her mind.
This strange woman shared the same name as Sarita. That Mr. Charming was Ernest Charles, the husband of this woman.
The Charles family had served in the army for three generations, so Ernest grew up in the military region. Ernest started as a soldier and just got promoted to battalion commander because of his outstanding performance in the last military exercise. He was the youngest major in army history. More importantly, Ernest relied on himself instead of his family background.
"Look at me now..." Sarita thought.
Not to mention her appearance or family background, this woman was gluttonous, lazy, overbearing, and unreasonable.
Whoever knew this couple admired Ernest and frowned with contempt at the mention of Sarita.
Sarita rubbed her temples with frustration and thought, "Why did I resurrect in the body of such a woman?"
Even so, Sarita always took things as they came.
"My case isn't that bad since I have a good husband." Sarita thought.
Right then, Ernest came back and said, "The doctor will come soon."
"Okay."
"Look at him! He must be about 6 feet tall with broad shoulders, a slender waist, and long legs!" Sarita thought.
Sarita beamed at the sight of Ernest, who was walking toward her against the bright sunshine. Sarita felt lucky to have such a handsome man to be her husband.
Ernest frowned, turned cold, and looked at Sarita with a complicated expression, which included contempt and vigilance!
"Sarita, what are you up to again?"
The smile froze on Sarita's face. Sarita shook her hand and explained anxiously, "Nothing."
"For god sake, I want to do nothing but say hello to you!" Sarita thought.
It was impossible for Sarita to get back to her old life, so she decided to get on well with Ernest.
Sarita thought, "Without accidents, I will live with Ernest under the same roof for decades.
If we can't love each other, I should make sure that we don't hate each other."
Knowing that Ernest had been on bad terms with his wife, Sarita tried to improve her relationship with this strange man. However, how Ernest responded took Sarita by surprise.
"What should I do now?" Sarita wondered.
Sarita had been a professional publicist, good at solving crises.
However, Sarita was a rookie in terms of love.
Sarita hadn't been in a relationship in her last life, but she had a husband now. "To make things worse, this man doesn't like me at all!" Sarita thought with distress.
When Sarita quieted down, Ernest felt weird.
Ernest thought, "Why do I feel that this woman seems different from before?
Never has she been so quiet before.
Why didn't she make a fuss after waking up?
Weirdly, she thanked me!
She must be up to something!
Apart from money, she wants only one thing!"
Right then, Ernest heard Sarita call him.
"Ernest, I want to..."
Sarita seldom took evasive actions, so she intended to solve the problem with timely communication.
She took a deep breath...
